Meet Allen

My name is Allen Jones and I grew up right here in the Syracuse area. I’ve spent my career in the furniture industry but have always had side jobs/projects in remodeling and fixing homes. Working with my dad and uncle we’ve done a little bit of everything from roofing and siding, to electrical and plumbing.
Choosing the right home inspector can be difficult. Unlike most professionals, you probably will not get to meet me until after you hire me. Furthermore, different inspectors have varying qualifications, equipment, experience, reporting methods and yes, different pricing.
I’ll give the best inspection experience at the best cost and always be available for my clients…..like family.

Am I Buying a Home?

A home inspection is a crucial step in the home buying process, providing an objective assessment of the property's condition before you commit to a purchase. It helps identify potential problems like structural issues, electrical problems, or plumbing leaks, that could lead to costly repairs down the road.

Am I Selling a Home?

A seller inspection, also known as a pre-listing inspection, is beneficial for sellers because it allows them to identify and address potential issues with their property before it's listed, potentially saving time, money, and preventing unexpected surprises during the sale. It can also lead to a more accurate asking price and a smoother transaction.

Standard Residential Inspection

A Standard Residential Inspection is a visual examination of the home's major structure, systems and components that are visible and safely accessible. It is a crucial step in the home buying process. This includes the following: Structural components (foundation, walls, roof, etc.), Roofing (shingles, flashing, gutters), Plumbing systems, Electrical systems, Heating and cooling systems (HVAC), Insulation and ventilation , nterior elements (windows, doors, floors, ceilings) & Exterior elements (siding, porches, decks).

Pre-Listing Inspection

This is the same a Standard Residential Inspection except before the property is listed for sale. Often called a Seller’s Inspection or Pre-Listing Inspection, this inspection aims to identify any existing issues or potential concerns that could impact the sale, allowing the seller to address them before listing or be better prepared for negotiations.

Expedited Residential Inspection

An Expedited Residential Home Inspection is no different than a Standard Residential Inspection but it occurs as ‘high priority’ and is typically requested within 6 hours.

Pre-Offer Walkthrough

A Pre-Offer Walkthrough (also known as a pre-offer consultation or walk-and-talk inspection) is a visual inspection of a home before a buyer makes an offer. It's a less thorough alternative to a full home inspection, focusing on obvious defects and potential issues identified by the inspector during a brief walk-through with the buyer and their agent. This process typically involves a verbal consultation, where the inspector points out visible problems without providing a detailed written report.

Radon Add-on

A radon add-on to a residential inspection refers to the service of testing for the presence and level of radon gas within a property, conducted as an additional service alongside a Standard Residential Inspection. Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas formed by the breakdown of uranium in soil and rock. It's invisible and odorless, making testing the only way to detect its presence. Exposure to elevated levels of radon can lead to health risks, primarily lung cancer, making radon testing a crucial health and safety component of home inspections.

Buyer Walkthrough

Professional pool inspections to ensure safety, compliance, and proper functionality, covering equipment, structure, and water quality.

Do I need a Termite Inspection?

Termite inspection is a vital service that involves a thorough examination of properties to detect the presence of termites and assess any potential damage.

Do I need a Radon Test?

Radon testing is a crucial service that measures the levels of radon gas in homes or buildings to ensure the safety and health of the occupants.

Lead-Based Paint Test

Lead paint can be dangerous when it begins to deteriorate, crack, or peel. Lead is a toxic metal that can lead to a variety of health problems in humans, especially young children, and other at-risk groups.

Indoor Air Quality Inspection

Harmful bacterias can become a problem when there is too much of it, causing problems for your health.

Pre-Slab Inspections

It is crucial to thoroughly inspect items during the pre-slab stage because many of the homes main components will be installed underground.
